What if better vision was
within everyone’s reach?
Aging populations face a critical health challenge: for any number of physical and environmental reasons, eye care can be out of reach. Though regular exams catch cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration early, 1 in 5 adults over 50 haven’t seen an eye doctor in three years. The problem is intensifying as demand outpaces supply with the over-65 population projected to grow 83% by 2050, while nearly half of today’s ophthalmologists are already over 50. In fact, one in four U.S. counties has no eye care professional at all.
