Sentry Technology's KNOGO® WAM (Wide Aisle Management) System reads magnetic security tags and was designed specifically for the library, bookstore and CD store markets. Unlike competitive products, this new portal can be positioned much further apart allowing increased areas for access. Releasing products with this new technology was necessary for Sentry Technology to revitalize its sales in this competitive market.

Kaleidoscope's interdisciplinary team of designers and engineers worked closely together to develop a pallet of materials, colors and textures which could be suitable for the product's electro-magnetic performance yet offer alternatives for creation of an aesthetically pleasing design. The final choice of wood and aluminum provides a great deal of flexibility for customization.

Kaleidoscope's engineers overcame significant structural challenges through detailed analysis of the vertical supports hardware, base, and anchoring design. The final solution is a minimal base that surpasses all of the stringent engineering specifications. The final design was fine tuned for ease of production and reduction of manufacturing cost.

Sentry Technology presented the new portal to the industry where it received excellent reviews. Initial reception by new and existing customers was been enthusiastic and Sentry Technology projects the KNOGO to be a key product in driving revenue and bottom line growth.
