Kaleidoscope created a revolutionary new business model through process innovation driven by complex research made clear and navigable for a partner seeking insight into their value stream. Kaleidoscope’s expertise in both medical device design and user experience made us a natural fit to lead this service and process innovation project.
Our task was to understand an existing product lifecycle, visualize all the touch points and identify complications. Our team led a fully immersive study of the medical products in context, closely observed the challenges in the environment, interviewed the people who handled them, and mapped the transportation routes they took.
By visualizing the research through a dynamic systems map, we were able to define inefficiencies and pain points along the distribution and delivery system. Supporting graphics were created to suggest systemic improvements.
