Ethicon Endo-Surgery

The Ethicon product sales team often has less than a minute to interact with consumers. We used this design constraint to create a solution that engaged the customer by communicating laparoscopic and endoscopic product capabilities, benefits and detailed specs in a short period of time.

CHALLENGE

The Ethicon product sales team often has less than a minute to interact with customers. We used this design constraint to create a solution that engaged the customer by communicating laparoscopic and endoscopic product capabilities, benefits and detailed specs in a short period of time.

 

SOLUTION

After usability research, design and prototyping phases that included deep immersion with the Ethicon sales environments, Kaleidoscope successfully moved the Ethicon sales library from print brochures to a collection of mobile applications for use with surgeons and purchasing managers.

RESULTS

The ensuing iPad app, with nine embedded videos and PDF sales sheets, reduced wasted navigation time, maximized interaction for the specific usage environment, and was unanimously adopted by the Ethicon sales team.
